When a NEWSTAR User attempts to open a hyperlink back to a NSE record (i.e. nse//HPLot/309) the login to NEWSTAR fails and/or a new login screen opens, even if the User is already logged into NEWSTAR.
Reasons this may occur:
- NEWSTAR Enterprise must first be open for the hyperlinks to work.
- The NEWSTAR User MUST have security access to the module they are trying to open.
- The NEWSTAR User must be utilizing the NEWSTAR “NSE Search Client“.
If all of the criteria above is met, try the solution below.
- Try adding \\ServerName as a “Trusted Site” (issue may be related to certain builds of Internet Explorer).
